Getting Started
EspeesConnect is a peer-to-peer (P2P) marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of Espees — the digital currency of the KingsChat ecosystem. Our platform allows individuals to buy or sell Espees using Nigerian Naira through a secure escrow-protected process, without the need for a centralised exchange.
Click "Sign Up Free" on the homepage. Provide your name, email address, and a secure password. You will receive a verification email — click the link inside to activate your account. Once verified, log in and complete your profile by adding your bank account details.
Yes, creating an account is completely free. A small service fee may apply on completed transactions to maintain the platform and its escrow services. Fee details are clearly shown before you confirm any transaction.
Buying & Selling Espees
After logging in, go to the marketplace and browse active sell offers. Select an offer that suits your desired amount and rate. Initiate the transaction — the seller's Espees will be locked in escrow. Make your Naira payment to the seller's verified bank account, then confirm payment on the platform. Once the seller confirms receipt, the Espees are released to your wallet.
Log in and navigate to "Post an Offer." Set your desired Espees amount, rate per unit, and any other preferences. Your Espees are deposited into escrow when a buyer initiates a transaction with you. Once the buyer confirms payment, verify it in your bank account and release the Espees. Funds go directly to your verified bank account.
If a buyer fails to make payment within the agreed time window, you can cancel the transaction and request a full refund of your Espees from escrow. Our system automatically processes the refund to your wallet, ensuring you are never at a loss.
Absolutely. Both buyers and sellers can post offers on the marketplace. As a seller, you list the amount of Espees you want to sell and your preferred rate. As a buyer, you can post a buy offer specifying how much Espees you want and the rate you're willing to pay. Other users can then respond to your listing.
Escrow & Security
Escrow is a secure holding mechanism. When a transaction begins, the seller's Espees are locked in our escrow system — meaning neither party can access them until both sides fulfil their obligations. This protects buyers from scams and gives sellers assurance that Espees are not released until payment is confirmed.
Bank accounts are verified through Flutterwave, a trusted and regulated payment processor. This ensures that all bank accounts linked to EspeesConnect are valid and belong to verified individuals, reducing the risk of fraud.
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption to protect all personal and financial data. We do not sell or share your data with third parties except as required by law or to fulfil our services. Please read our Privacy Policy for full details.
Payments & Bank Transfers
Bank transfers in Nigeria typically complete within minutes. Once a seller confirms receipt of Naira payment, Espees are released from escrow almost immediately. Delays can occasionally occur due to inter-bank processing times, but are usually resolved within the same business day.
Currently, payments are made via direct bank transfer (Naira) to the seller's verified Nigerian bank account. The buyer pays Naira to the seller outside the platform and then confirms the payment on EspeesConnect before Espees are released from escrow.
